What to do when you don't have a job? Craft, of course! Zac and I got rid of most of our furniture when we moved. Since it was all hand-me downs or from thrift stores it was cheaper to just get furniture here instead of trying to move it all.
First up, are these night stands. I found them for a good price at DI but they were really beat up and were that fake wood laminate stuff. So I Googled how to paint laminate and I think they turned out pretty good! So far the paint isn't chipping so I guess the tutorial was a good one. Another bonus, I found the paint in the "oops" section of Home Depot so it was even cheaper!
The nightstands were my practice/warm-up for the big one......We really needed a dresser, call me cheap, but I did not want to pay 200 + dollars for a big solid dresser. I found this dresser also at DI. It was really beat up and missing several pieces of hardware. Also, most of the railings were rusty and had fallen off. Thanks to Eric and Elise for helping us get this beast from DI and up to our apartment.
