Newest Member of the Family

This post is long over due. But it is post that needs to happen so I can remember it. In the beginning of January Zac and I were blessed enough to be able to attend the sealing of my newest nephew, Mason, to my oldest sister Kristin and her family.
I do not think words can adequately describe the feeling that was in the temple that day. There are several times in my life where I have had the opportunity to feel the love of my Savior and God through the spirit of the Holy Ghost. This was one of those times. There are few times that can rival the strength at which I felt the presence of Holy Ghost in the Portland Temple that day and Mason's blessing the following day in church.
Seeing my sister so happy and being able to be a mother to another one of God's children makes me so happy. Being able to witness this amazing event left me with strong feelings of hope and that God loves each and every one of His children. Seldom, do we know what God has in store for each of us, but one day when we are able to look back on our lives we will be able to see that God had a plan and purpose for each us the whole time. I am so grateful that Zac and I were still in Washington so we were able to be part of the sealing. This has definitely strengthened my testimony of the temple and the ordinances that take place inside.
I think I have been blessed with the cutest nephews in the world, on both sides on my family. If I can't be a mom, I can at least be an awesome aunt. I am so happy to have Mason be part of the family and can't wait to see his cute little face again.

  1. Ahhh, what a nice post! I knew I felt the Spirit stronger than I ever had, but I didn't know if everyone was feeling it. I will definitely never forget those two days. I'm SO glad it happened before you guys moved so you could be there! We didn't know it, but we barely made it in time. I second what Elise says. You are an amazing aunt! Spencer adores you (and Mason will!) because you make him feel special. Thank you for being so awesome!
