Yellowstone

I love exploring the world! And the United States has some of the most amazing natural beauties that the world has to offer. Last week, Zac and I took a mini vacation to Yellowstone. With us both in fairly new jobs and starting IVF soon, we didn't have a lot of time to take off. So we took a four day weekend. :)
Zac's parents drove down from Spokane to join us and it was so much fun having them there! We rented a cabin in Island Park which is a little ways outside of West Yellowstone. It was absolutely perfect.
Zac's and my work schedules are opposite. He works during the day and I work in the evenings and on Saturdays. Which makes it hard to spend time together. I have missed him so much! This little getaway is just what we needed.
Yellowstone was everything that I hoped it to be. There was wildlife everywhere! We saw buffalo, elk, fox and deer. The mud pots, hot springs and geysers were incredible. I have never seen anything like them.
I think my favorite part of the trip was swimming near the boiling river. There was an area where a hot spring flowed into a cold river, creating a natural hot tub. Because the two were mixing, depending on the currant, you would feel really hot water or really cold water. Quite the interesting sensation.
