To be honest 2013 was a hard year for me. We were diagnosed with unexplained infertility, went through unsuccessful Clomid
treatments, experienced long distance for the first time and said goodbye to
close friends. However, amid the hard times were also a lot of great times. Here is my 2013...
1. I got to see so much of my family! Lindsey came home from her mission. Kristin, Alan, Spencer, Elise, Eric, Porter, Mom, Dad, Michelle and my Aunt Linda's family all visited us in San Diego throughout the year.
2. I spent time with old friends and made new ones too.
3. Explored more and went on adventures with my best friend
4. Moved to the great northwest (aka: Seattle)
I know that no matter what happens this next year that I will be ok. I have recently come to the conclusion that it is ok to be happy with my life even if my life isn't what I thought it would be. Here is to a new year, a new place and a new adventure.
Ditto to both you and Elise about 2013 being a hard year! 2014 has to get better, right?! Do seem to do such a great job of living in the moment and really enjoying where you are. I'm glad you had a wonderful time in San Diego and am sorry that you're getting such a nasty, soggy introduction to winter in the NW! The past week has been super wet here and it's always worse where you are. Learn to treasure those 10 minutes of sun. I'm getting better at dropping whatever I have going on and getting outside when I can. It takes some getting used to though.
