Recent Travels

The last week has been quite eventful in the Vidmar household. I guess it is best to start with last weekend......

Last weekend, my wonderful parents and Michelle drove all the way from AZ to Oregon to visit my sister, naturally with them being so close Zac and I headed down the road from Seattle to visit. It was so much fun. On Saturday morning we got up nice and early to help Alan with his Uberthons race set up. Zac and I got a free race entry out of it. :) We both ran the 5K, which I PRed at 25:37 and took first in my age division! Woohoo! That was exciting. It was so great to see my family. Alan and Kristin were nice enough to let us stay with them. It was especially fun hangin' with my nephew. He is just way too cute and says the funniest things. His favorite saying (while I was there) was "Holy Smokes Alive!" and we had a blast playing "sticky pillows". 

Next up, the 4th of July....

Zac's company sponsored the Bellevue Family Fourth Event so Zac and I had VIP tickets. Fancy fancy. We were fed dinner and watched the fireworks from a fenced in area so it wasn't crazy crowded. 

This weekend, I was pleasantly surprised with a weekend trip to Vancouver BC. Paul and Kathrine came over from Spokane and we all drove up together. Thanks to the Father-in-law for the hotel. We had a great time walking around downtown and seeing the Olympic torch. Vancouver has probably one of the most beautiful and clean downtowns I have ever seen. I has a ton of really neat architecture and water features. 

Update on everything else......

I LOVE MY JOB!!!!! Who else gets to go play laser tag, hang out at beaches, and go to Pikes Place and get paid for it? I have a lot to learn and it is a lot of work sometimes, but I am incredibly happy. Zac is also loving his internship. I think he loves the fact that he actually gets to use what he learned in school and get paid for it. Well...thats all for now. We will just have to wait and see what this next week brings.
