One Month

Little John J is officially one month old! Well, actually a little bit older than that. :) Time has been flying by. It is amazing how much he has already changed in such a short amount of time. He fills all my waking thoughts and sometimes my dreams too. Our life is completely changed but I don't mind at all.
John can now follow me with his eyes and recognize my voice. He is more alert and stays awake for several hours during the day. He is also a rather great sleeper! He sleeps for 5-6 straight at night. I think he just must have gotten Zac's and my personality because we both love sleep. :) We just had our first night away from our apartment and he was a champ! Also, just recently he has started to smile. I think he is just great and the cutest baby ever.

My Favorite Things About John at One Month:

1. The way he stretches when he wakes up from a nap
2. His furrowed brow when he is in his car seat and doesn't want to be
3. The way he straightens out his legs and grunts every time he has to poop
4. I love nursing him! I never realized before how special that time is.
5. When I wear him in my baby wrap and he snuggles up to me and falls asleep 
6. How he loves his pacifier and sucks on it rapidly when he needs to calm down.

Needless to say, Zac and I love having John as part of our family.
