I figured since my blog is titled Kate's Krafty Korner I should probably share a few of my recent crafts... :) I find hobbies very therapeutic. It is nice to feel like I am accomplishing something even if it is just a few birthday cards and coasters.
I don't know about you but there are a TON of birthdays and other holidays coming up in my family. So I spent a good couple of nights making a lot of cards. I must admit that I was pretty pleased how most of them turned out.
Last week, Mill Creek had a city wide garage sale. I was in heaven! I could have spent all day walking from garage sale to garage sale. Zac and I found some really good deals. I found a box of tiles for super cheap so I bought a few and made a couple of coasters. I liked the way these turned out so much that I am sad I didn't buy the whole box!
I can't take credit for these awesome marshmallow roasters. These were another awesome find from the garage sales. If you can't tell, they are made from the handle of a golf club and a fork! Complete genius! I can't wait to go camping this year and test them out.
The sun has been making more and more appearances lately and I have been dieing to try and grow herbs and flowers. I haven't had much luck in the past with keeping plants alive, but I am hoping that I can keep these going. The night stand I painted awhile ago makes a pretty good little plant table.

Good work on your cards and coasters! Super cute! I wish I had inherited the crafty gene like the rest of my sisters. :)
