Growing up, I was always jealous of the boy scouts. They did so many fun things. They had camp outs, they had pocket knives, they learned how to build fires and they got to make cool looking cars and race them......Well, I finally got my chance to be a boy scout. :) Our ward was doing a fundraiser by selling pinewood derby cars. Zac thought it would be fun for us to each get one then we could race each other. It turns out that trying to carve a pinewood derby car is quite hard when you don't own any tools. I got bored pretty quick with trying to shape mine. Zac was more committed than I was. I had a lot more fun painting mine. I guess I am probably not cut out to be a boy scout after all. :) You can't tell that we are BYU fans, can you?!

Cool! Seeing Alan go on a million freezing cold camp-outs with the scouts made me very glad that I wasn't a boy scout, but it would be fun to do a pine-wood derby car. Good job on the painting!
